"The Project" - Notes from the director.

SURVIVING is not just a short-film to show off some graphics. Although it's true it became my first short-film with some home-made CGI and heavy post-production work, that is all secondary to the experience that I wanted SURVIVING to be.

SURVIVING is, above all, an experience.

A study of the struggle of the human being under extreme conditions.

A study of how far an actor is willing to go to deliver a performance as real as possible.


SURVING was shot very quickly but that wasn't an excuse to disregard the veracity of our "game".
The short-film was the result of 2 days of actor work, trying hard to create the right set "rules" that could give birth to the main character and so tell a very simple story with powerful imagery. The result was far beyond expectation and the awards we won so far prove that.

SURVIVING is a story that, at the end of the day, all it wants is to ask you a simple question: what would be your last option in order to survive?
